Updated: Feb 26

Big milestone alertā€”our Birdie & Tree littersĀ just had their first taste of puppy mush, and it was absolutely ADORABLE! šŸ„° Watching them plunge face-firstĀ into their food, paws in the bowl, tails wagging, and little tongues slurping was priceless!

At around 3.5 weeks old, their little teeth are starting to come in, and they are ready to begin the weaning process.Ā While theyā€™re still nursing with mom, introducing mush helps them learn how to lap, chew, and transition to solid food.

šŸ„£ What is Puppy Mush?

Mush is a soft, easy-to-eat blend of high-quality puppy food soaked in warm water or milk replacerĀ until it reaches a porridge-like consistency. Itā€™s gentle on their little tummies and packed with nutrition to support their growth!

šŸ¾ First Reactions:

āœØ Some puppies dove right in, licking and lapping up the mush enthusiastically!

āœØ Others were a bit unsure at first, dipping their noses in before deciding it was delicious!

āœØ A few decided to stand in the bowlā€”because why not?! šŸ˜†

āœØ There were messy faces, mushy paws, and lots of happy tummies!

šŸ’” Whatā€™s Next?

Now that theyā€™ve had their first taste, weā€™ll gradually introduce mush more often, helping them become more independent eaters. Over the next couple of weeks, theyā€™ll get better at eating without wearing half of it!Ā šŸ˜‚

Mommas Dolly & RebaĀ are still nursing them, but soon, theyā€™ll start naturally weaning as the puppies become more comfortable with eating solid food.

šŸ¶ Future puppy familiesā€”get ready for some happy, food-loving puppies!Ā šŸ’›
