The Cochran Family
We are a family of seven: Michael, Sarah, Nathanael, Abigail, Noelle, Annie, and Faith. We live on a 40 acre farm with cows, goats, chickens, peacocks, guinea, and of course our beloved English Cream Golden Retrievers. We enjoy our family time. Michael gets to work from home and Sarah homeschools our children. We get to spend most of our time together. We tackle most of our farm chores as a team along with cooking meals and exploring new things. When we aren't on the farm, you might find us spending time with our local church family or exploring the local zoo.
Our entire family raises our puppies; however, Sarah is the main person in charge of the daily interactions with all of our past and future SDG Family. If you call, email, text, etc., she is who you will most likely be chatting with. She has a passion and love for dogs and people. It is her joy to find perfect homes for each of our puppies. She also loves to stay in touch with our families to watch our puppies grow and make sure they have all the support they need.
Sarah began breeding Golden Retrievers as a little girl in Raytown, Missouri with her mother and brother, and she has been a professional dog groomer for 25 years. She has a Bachelor's of Animal Science from the University of Missouri and a Masters in Reproductive Physiology from South Dakota State University. She also is a literature review away from a PhD in Animal Molecular and Cellular Biology. She completed her courses, and all of her research is published and being used in the field. However, she chose to be with her family, and the time commitment for finishing her PhD while she had a baby was just not feasible. She made the tough yet rewarding decision to be a full-time, stay-at-home mom. Thankfully, she is able to put her education to good use in our breeding program with how we raise our dogs and puppies.
We look forward to meeting you and learning more about your family as well. Feel free to call or email us any time!
